Piazza Unità d'Italia (Unity of Italy Square) is the main town square in Trieste. The square is often said to be Europe's largest square located next to the sea.
The square was built during the period when Trieste was the main port of the Austrian-Hungarian Empire and includes the city's municipal buildings and other important palaces.

Come avranno fatto tutti, anch'io stavo meditando sul taglio... Personalmente, avrei cominciato meno «ex abrupto» lasciando a sinistra della Prefettura uno spazio comparabile a quello che c'è alla sua destra. Forse avrei anche lasciato fuori in tutto o in parte il finale, che in questa versione ha un qualcosa di pista d'aeroporto!

Ciao Alberto. Capisco i vostri pareri, ma, tornando indietro la farei allo stesso modo. E spiego le ragioni. Come ho detto ad Arno, a differenza di molti iscritti, non amo troppo le simmetrie. Poi c'è da considerare che la piazza non è per niente simmetrica, ad esempio, persino la la fontana dei 4 Continenti non è in asse. Poi c' erano altre panoramiche della piazza e nessuna con questo taglio; così mi è sembrato più originale.
Ho però foto della piazza prese in un' altra giornata (senza colorazione blu ed effetto pioggia) e proverò a farne un' altra simmetrica rispetto al Palazzo Comunale. Ma io la preferisco così.
E poi, anche tu, nella tua, che è bellissima (pano 13939), non hai dato un taglio simmetrico ;-).
