Trieste is a city in North-East Italy. Its most important feature is perhaps that of having been a crossroads of Latin, Slavic and German cultures.
Once a very influential and powerful centre of politics, literature, music, art and culture under Austrian-Hungarian dominion, its importance is somewhat declined over the past 50 years.
In the late 19th century, as a prosperous seaport in the Mediterranean region, Trieste became the fourth largest city of the Austro-Hungarian Empire (after Vienna, Budapest, and Prague).
Today is a pleasant town, probably a bit underrated in terms of tourism.
Monte Grisa is about 5km from the city center.

Con una visibilità cosí, sarebbe stato bello vedere la continuazione fino al promontorio di Savudrija - a parte che in belvederi di questo tipo fatalmente c'è sempre di mezzo qualche baraccone che rompe le scatole.
