The panorama was taken on a day I now refer to as the "fake" or "original" summit day. Unfortunately we tried to summit the day before and had to turn pretty early in bad weather (and descended down to camp 1 as more snow was expected overnight).
As is apparent from the tent-skeletons, we were pretty much the last on the mountain and the organizations were preparing to go down as well ...
It was a fantastic time close to the big mountain anyway, and recalling the time I mostly regret not to have more time to spend with pictures like that. Until now I am only touching the masses I shot while hanging around in Camp 1 (which is core business as it seems) and above Camp 2.

I think the skeletons are brought down or maybe they just dismantle them and store them alltogether for next year. Other camps were already going down and I think most of them left stuff wrapped to stand the winter and be reused next season. I was actually rather wondering whether they would actually recognize the places they had the toilet tents (which need to be moved every two weeks or so) in the previous year ...
and yes: Razdelnaya and Lenin are on the border to Tadjikistan - I think Lenin summit officially belongs to Tadjikistan (but there are no controls anywhere we were).
