The Château de Chillon (Chillon Castle) is an island castle located on Lake Leman, south of Veytaux in the canton of Vaud. Probably Chillon is the most visited castles in Switzerland.
It was made popular by Lord Byron, who wrote the poem "The Prisoner Of Chillon".
Lake Leman lies by Chillon’s walls:
A thousand feet in depth below
Its massy waters meet and flow;
Thus much the fathom-line was sent
From Chillon’s snow-white battlement,
Which round about the wave enthrals:
A double dungeon wall and wave
Have made – and like a living grave
Below the surface of the lake
The dark vault lies wherein we lay .

The wine produced there is very expensive, but the terraced vineyards between Lausanne and Montreux constitute a very nice natural spectacle.
A proposito.
How fortunate, that us viewers only capture the light and mood!
Tanti saluti Wolfgang
