When I stood at this place I heard locals calling the lonesome building"Le Crayon". I marked another nice building on the Rhône river "Hôtel Dieu de Lyon". VG HJ.
The skyscraper Part-Dieu is called, as you said, "Le Crayon". Just see it to understand why ;-). Also in Italy, in Genoa, there is a skyscraper that is nicknamed "Crayon" ("Matitone" in Italian).
The Basilica of Fourvière is the most famous viewpoint on Lyon.
Thanks for the label.
