The "Riva Degli Schiavoni" is the waterfront promenade in Venice that runs from Palazzo Ducale (on Piazza San Marco) to the east. It is one of the best-known areas of Venice.

"Schiavoni" is an Italian ethnonym literally meaning "Slavs" in Old Italian.

I hope that the stitchings are correct, but with Venice is always hard to say, because there are few builgings perfectly straight.

Se c'e' una cosa che mi annoia nei "nostri" panorami cittadini e' la routine delle linee sempre meccanicamente a piombo... Qui non ci sono ne' questa routine ne' la Torre di Pisa, ma semplicemente un po' di respiro e di varieta' - tanto piu' interessante quanto meno percettibile!

Hallo Christoph. Focal length 135 mm (full format). More details: 9 photos; f7,1; 1/2500 sec.; 160 ISO; with tripod.
The pano was taken from the Island of San Giorgio, which is located in front of the Riva degli Schiavoni (about 450 meters away).

Ottima foto

ma per piacere, Giuseppe, correggi il label "Duomo" con "Basilica di San Marco"o semplicemente San Marco. A Venezia non esiste un Duomo in senso tecnico-ecclesiastico. So che in alcuni siti (tipo wikipedia) per approssimazione anche San Marco è definita così, e tuttavia nessun Veneziano si sognerebbe mai di attribuirle questo titolo.
