Eilean Donan Castle is one of the most iconic images of Highlands. The first fortified castle was built in the mid 13th century and stood guard over the lands of Kintail. Since then, at least four different versions of the castle have been built and re-built as the feudal history of Scotland unfolded through the centuries.
Two years later, the weather had improved only slightly ;) .

Incidentally, we flew over Dornie and Skye on October 12th with not a single cloud in the area - proof that there are perfect days even there. I'm only not good at doing panos from a plane. Maybe I will give the material a try some day.
