Trento, located in the Adige River valley, is the capital of Trentino and a place where the Italian and Mitteleuropean cultures meet. In the 16th century the city was the location of the Council of Trent.
The pano was taken from Sardagna, a fraction of Trento, located on the eastern slope of Monte Bondone.
