Von der Kapelle Ai Lias (#34085) hatte ich noch ein ordentliches Stück Weg vor mir zu meinem nächsten Quartier im kleinen Badeort Potos an der Südwestküste von Thassos. Trotzdem nahm ich nicht den direkten Weg über einen Fahrweg ins Dorf Theologos - zu sehr verlockend sah der breite kalkige Rücken aus, auf dem ein schmaler Weg erst einmal südwärts führte, immer wieder mit Felskontakt. Man sieht auf beiden Seiten das Meer, und im Norden steht dominant der Grat mit den Hauptbergen der Insel. Ich kam dann im weiteren Tagesverlauf gut voran und musste nie auf die Straße. Der Ort Theologos bezaubert durch seine alten Häuser und Gassen. In der Vorsaison war vieles noch zu, und ich war froh, eine offene Taverne zur Einkehr zu finden, und umso erstaunter, zu sehen, daß diese ihr Geschäft mit großen Busgruppen machte. Das Souvlaki war trotzdem lecker.

From the Ai Lias chapel (#34085), I still had a long way to go to reach my next accommodation in the small seaside resort of Potos on the south-west coast of Thassos. Nevertheless, I did not take the direct route via a dirt road to the village of Theologos – the wide limestone ridge, on which a narrow path led southwards, repeatedly touching the rocks, looked too tempting. You can see the sea on both sides, and to the north, the ridge with the island's main mountains dominates the landscape. I made good progress as the day went on and never had to take the asphalt road. The village of Theologos charms with its old houses and narrow streets. In the early season, many places were still closed, and I was glad to find an open tavern to have a rest at, and all the more surprised to see that it was doing business with large tour groups. The souvlaki was delicious regardless.
