SOLVED RIDDLE.

The question is obviously wrong. In the long term, it is by polluting that one becomes poor. But in the short term the problem probably arises. We will see what the future of Taranto will be. I do not know.
The city of Taranto is about 20 km from the shooting point.

one of the historically most important cities in southern Italy with one of the uglies steel mills - closing down and therefore threatening economy but easing the ecological burden.

I always looked for this huge building on google maps but didn't find it. After identifying the rest of the town I also found pictures of the huge sarcophagus-like housing - under construction. So it's simply not yet to be seen on google maps. A nice riddle!

The city has a prestigious remote past, but a problematic present and a very uncertain future.
It was the only Spartan colony of Magna Grecia and to conquer it Rome had to face long and hard wars.
But the present is much less glorious ...

@Christoph: I'd be curious to know how did you guess right away;
@Matthias: the "sarcophagus" is so called by analogy with that of Chernobyl, but, objectively, it is a forcing and any comparison with Chernobyl is ridiculous and absurd. What someone scornfully calls sarcophagus is simply a huge covering for iron minerals and simply serves not to make iron powders go around;

It is the combination of olive trees, costal plain and industry which led me to the solutiion. This comination is (fortunately ?) not too often present in the Mediterranean.

One I got the town I was even able to pinpiont the location you took the picture from. I admire how you find all these remote spots. SP581 is not a road I would call a major route ...

Regarding the "sarcophagus" type of confinement:

It protects the surrounding area / the city / the people from coal and ore dust / emissions - way too late ...

The situation of the city with water on both sides is quite characteristic, so if I had had time for the riddle, I would have probably started around Taranto as well... Cheers, Martin
