The day after the previous panorama, I went off for the Vuelta al Huemul, at trek which I discovered only recently, preparing the GPS track, to be 103 km long:

In the early morning of February 13 I closed the loop on the first slopes of the path leading both to Laguna Toro and Pliegue Tumbado (the fork lies higher up). Although at a few minutes from El Chaltén, the weather was so perfect that I was all but tempted to reach the town and its facilities. Instead, I hung the heavy backpack to the branch of a hidden tree, and I rushed again up to the Pliegue Tumbado, to see the view this time in a perfect sunny day.

Und da sag noch einer, ich hätte damals Glück mit dem Wetter gehabt ;)

Tolles Bild, allerdings warte ich noch auf deine sonst so netten Beschreibungen/Geschichten. Zu welcher Uhrzeit hast du das Bild gemacht?

Ich hatte erst lange Zeit am Mirador verbracht: dort war ein Photographer aus Buenos Aires, der eine Photographer Seite hat, und Fotos von mir machen wollte. Leider bin ich immer geschnitten

Ich sage immer, es ist so ein Unglück, daß heute jedermann ein Photographer mit zweien Ph ist: meine Katze, mein Hund und ich bleiben die einzigen dreien, die noch keine Photographer Seite besitzen.
Dann hatte ich lange zu plaudern mit einem Paar aus Heidelberg, die viel begeistert waren, weil jener Tag ein Weib aus Heidelberg auf dem Cerro Torre war. Wie ich nur spät verstanden habe, diese ist Dörte Pietron, die das Buch "Patagonia Vertical" mit Garibotti geschrieben hat.
Statt "Du fährst zu oft nach Heidelberg", fährt sie scheinbar öfters nach Torre und Fitz Roy.

Danke für die Info. Hab mir das schon gedacht, wegen dem Schatten am Huemul und dem leichten Gegenlicht um Torre und Fitz Roy. Bei uns damals war es 12.00 Uhr mittags, da stand die Sonne noch deutlich höher.

Should I complain and mention that I really miss the vivid sky from the other one? Who cares about Cerro Torre ;-) Great scenery, and almost unreal with the blue sky. Cheers, Martin
