Within the project described in N.18401 Cerro Madsen is the third viewpoint. The present view, however, is not taken from the proper Cerro, but from a little foresummit, more advanced in direction Paso Superiór - Fitzroy, whence in my notes I called it "Cerro Madsen Avanzado".
As a consequence, the present work does not free the Betrachter from a future "official" view from the precarious summit stone of the authentic Cerro!
Here on the "Avanzado" the shooting operations are far easier.

LG, Alberto.
If you worry about the "Schnitt" - pls just show this on MP as well, where the "Schnitt" doesn't matter. Cheers, Martin
The traverse was carried out on February 12 to 16. In the late afternoon of 16-02 I was walking on the side of the Torre glacier, returning to El Chaltén from the «Halle des Bergkönigs», see N.18871.
It was there that I met two people coming out of the glacier. The day before they had climbed Aguja Saint Exupéry, and from there they carried the breaking news that two crazy guys were up, attempting the integral traverse of the Macizo.
Transported by this sudden flavour of adventure, I decided to delay my comeback to civilization, and to try my way between Torre and Fitzroy. Few minutes later I was already pointing towards Niponino and shooting

The next day, 17-02, I reached what I was to call the «Fitzroy of the Poor» which - I hope - will be the subject of a future panorama here.
As for MP, I think that at least I must choose between the Cerro Avanzado and the normal Cerro Madsen, shot half an hour before:

Namely, I see that the MP man needs to put some personal work in each panorama, so I guess that, if I start submitting material from every stone of Patagonia, I will be very readily banned!
Cheers,
Alberto.
