A riddle inspired by Pompei.
Where does this pano (made of five photos) come from? Not from the Allgäuer Alpen, of course, but also not from Pompei. My presence on Panorama Photo has become quite discontinuous, but on certain occasions it is nearly impossible for me to access the site. Just loading this picture was a long adventure.

It was named after an atoll in the Marshall Islands in the Pacific, where atomic tests were conducted in 1946. More explosive than the atomic bomb—that is why it was called the bikini.
The invention of the bikini caused a worldwide scandal.
But perhaps things happened differently, and people were already wearing it many centuries earlier.
Naturally, they didn't call it a bikini ;-)
