The Val d'Orcia is a region of Tuscany which extends from the hills south of Siena to Monte Amiata.
It was added to the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites in 2004.
It's one of the Italian areas I love most.
From Campiglia d'Orcia, you have a good view of much of the area.

Dear Giuseppe, I have a slight suspicion that you’re trying to test me, how well I really know the regions in your home country that I’ve already visited ;-) !?

One thing is sure ... I haven’t been to your location yet. But the topography and some landmarks are looking really familiar to me ... I have labeled some points and I hope I'm not wrong. It was probably taken from C......ia d'O. or on the way leading up to that famous volcanic mountain!?

Thanks for the great riddle and wonderful overview to my coffee time, I will look forward to the solution! Cheers, Hans-Jörg

I admit it was a test for you ;-)
The labels are correct, but you can also see Montepulciano ;-)

Montepulciano has been identified and I think it was you.
