Und jetzt die Szene von #34953 von oben. Nach Anreise von Dubrovnik und Grenzübertritt fuhr ich direkt hinauf in die Berge. Beim ehemaligen Hotel Borici konnte ich gegen 10:30 auf etwa 800m Höhe parken. Ein Fahrweg, der immer steiler und grobschottriger wird, führt hinauf zur Hütte des Bergsteigervereins Subra am Vratlo Pass auf 1160m - hier war es am Sonntagmittag lebendig, ich kehrte aber erst beim Abstieg kurz ein. Es folgte ein durchwegs gut und dicht markierter Weg abwechselnd über leuchtende Wiesen und durch wunderschöne Buchenwälder. Erst kurz unterhalb des Gipfels kommt man aus dem Wald - ich freute mich sehr über das Erreichen dieses Aussichtspunkts, wie oft am ersten Tag war ich etwas langsamer unterwegs. Der Blick geht über das Karstgebirge des Orjen und hinab in die Bucht und auf Herceg Novi. Den besten Rund- und Tiefblick gab es etwas abseits des höchsten Punkts.

And now the scene from #34953, seen from above. After arriving from Dubrovnik and crossing the border, I drove straight up into the mountains. At the former Hotel Borici, I was able to park at around 10.30 am at an altitude of about 800 metres. A track, which becomes increasingly steep and covered in coarse gravel, leads up to the Subra Mountaineering Club’s hut on the Vratlo Pass at 1,160 metres – it was lively here on Sunday noon, but I only called in on my way down. A well-marked and clearly marked path followed, alternating between bright meadows and beautiful beech forests. It is only just below the summit that you emerge from the forest – I was delighted to reach this vantage point; as is often the case on the first day, I was walking a little more slowly. The view stretches across the karst mountains of Orjen and down into the bay towards Herceg Novi.
