I was absolutely stunned when I entered Meneham, a revived (now museum) village in northern Brittany. Although low tide conditions sea, dunes, settlement and fishing equipment combined to an idyllic scenery, which this harsh place of course never was. I highly recommend visiting this location if possible. Within an hour or so you learn almost everything you need to know about this costal range. Did you know that chemical industry in previous times relied on iodine supply from algae harvested at such sites?
I am standing on one of the typical granite rock outcrops spread all over the landscape. The construction (house) below me is said to have had a "watch-post" function for the coast-guardians.
