Jetzt dann von vorn. Die Lufthansa fliegt seit diesem Sommer dreimal wöchentlich direkt ab Frankfurt den kleinen Asturias Airport bei Avilés an (auch wenn der mit Kürzel OVD der ca. 45km entfernten Provinzhauptstadt Oviedo zugeordnet ist). Vom Flughafen fährt man nach Übernahme des Mietwagens eine gute Stunde ins Gebirge. Meine erste Bergtour unternahm ich am nächsten Tag im "Vorgebirge" im Tal von Teverga. Man parkt nah am Ort Carrea an einem Friedhof oberhalb der Wallfahrtskirche Nostra Senora de Cébrano. Von dort führt ein etwas schweißtreibender, sehr direkter Aufstieg auf einem teils betonierten Fahrweg hinauf auf die Sierra de Sobia. Bei der gleichnamigen Laguna kann man weglos abzweigen und wird für den anstrengenden Aufstieg mit einer herrlichen Runde um eine karstige Hochebene belohnt und steht auch bald nach schönem Weg auf dem Grat von Süden kommend auf dem ersten Gipfel.

Since this summer, Lufthansa has been flying three times a week directly from Frankfurt to the small Asturias Airport near Avilés (even though the airport with the abbreviation OVD is assigned to the provincial capital Oviedo, about 45 km away). After picking up the rental car at the airport, it's a good hour's drive into the mountains. I did my first hike the next day in the "foothills" in the valley of Teverga. One parks close to the village of Carrea at a cemetery above the sanctuary of Nostra Senora de Cébrano. From there, a somewhat strenuous, very direct ascent on a partly concreted road leads up to the Sierra de Sobia. At the Laguna of the same name, it is possible to branch off pathlessly and one is rewarded for the strenuous ascent with a magnificent loop around a karstic plateau and one soon finds oneself on the first summit.
