No idea?
I can tell you that the pano shows the Alps, but I am not in the Alps. I am incredibly close to ...

It is very evident that you are not in the Alps. But I still have no clue ...
02.11.2019 12:05 , Christoph Seger
I mean to see ski slopes in the front mountains, that is not typical for the southern alpes. May be its not in the southern alpes.
02.11.2019 12:15 , Günter Diez
I see the ski-slopes too. I also think it is no southern alps. The clouds go from the right to the left, the light is in the left...

highly unlikely knowing your travel itinerary ...
First guess: You are in Austria and you are looking over a well known ski area to the southwest ...
02.11.2019 15:09 , Christoph Seger
Dear Chistoph, I would have loved to do a similar pano from Austria, but it is not.
The solution is not too difficult, but there are some aspects that disorient.
02.11.2019 16:07 , Giuseppe Marzulli
Why should it be not on South? For example, the view from the Superga also shows the light from the left.
Unfortunately I have no time for riddles... :-(
02.11.2019 16:14 , Werner Schelberger
I also thought about Superga
- and about nw-Appennines. But I can't identifie a single summit. It's a pity. Where could you be outside the alps, in such a hight, and have the light coming from the left? I have definetly to do some work now...

Perhaps Monte Matto in the right, left in clouds Argentera.
Not easy this one.
02.11.2019 16:49 , Günter Diez
The sentence of Matthias has occupied me: "Where could you be outside the alps, in such a height?" I hope you are not in a balloon..
02.11.2019 17:18 , Werner Schelberger
Have now found the ski areas depicted and suppose you are not in a balloon, but in a neighbouring mountain range. Now for the details... Cheers, Martin

Capacissimo di essere sul Beigua, invece che in un pallone...
02.11.2019 17:24 , Pedrotti Alberto
There is a tale of Edgar Allan Poe, "The Purloined Letter", that looks a lot like this riddle...
The solution was not difficult, but it had to be understood.
I thank all those who participated.
02.11.2019 17:33 , Giuseppe Marzulli
I was too slow at the end - congratulations to Günter and Alberto! But, as usual, a nice combination of fun and learning - thanks for that, Giuseppe!
02.11.2019 17:34 , Martin Kraus
Thank you. Congratulations to Günter and Alberto.

Devo rispolverare le mie Kodachrome dal Beigua. È che non si ha mai tempo per niente.
02.11.2019 17:38 , Pedrotti Alberto
A good riddle!
Thanks for that, an congratulations to Günter and Alberto!

To this impressive "Barrique Pano" ;-) I would still be interested in the focal length and some information about the distances, Giuseppe !!!

Cheers, Hans-Jörg

Ciao Hans-Jörg.
There are 6 photos; 300 mm (x 1,6); f5; 1/8000 sec.; 320 ISO.
Monte Matto is about 106 Km; Mongioie about 68 Km. From Monte Beigua you can see almost all the Alps, but far, except the Western Alps.
Of course, visibility is needed and it is very rare to find excellent visibility.

Thank you very much for your additions, Giuseppe !! When I studied your panorama again at the weekend, I noticed that you also celebrated the 10th anniversary on p-p since the end of October 2019 in quiet modesty ;-) !!

Congratulations and thanks for your wonderful impressions across Europe and your constant presence - you are one of the "pillars" of this site!!!

Un caro saluto a te, Hans-Jörg
