French Riviera I would say.

Not only black and dark, so a lot of buildings are well visible ;-) The cube at the end is too prominent and it is not so far from France so I had a chance to find it out even it is in Italy, that I don't really know. You were in San Remo, Portosole.
Very impressive night scenery, very well composed.

Honestly, if I had said I would have told the French Riviera. The area resembles some of the Côte d'Azur's ports.
But, as Jörg said, we are in Italy. The Côte d'Azur is very famous, but the western part of Liguria is more beautiful. Unfortunately, compared to the French Riviera is much worse organized.

Dear Giuseppe

Thank you for the kind words. I did not have too much time so I ended the search eastward an Ventimiglia ;-)) Personally for me (and maybe historically well founded) there is a cultural continuum between lets say Cannes and San Remo (e.g. in the 19th century Contea di Nizza and Principato di Piemonte ...) so there is also a architecture style continuum. Hence personally I can not discriminate between French and Italian Riviera in this part of the coast. Nizza is so Italian !

Kind regards Christoph

Dear Christoph,

I share everything.
I love Nizza, that as urban planning is a Ligurian city (and historically has been part of Italian culture).
That said, I hope that European nationalisms will be overcome. I hope Nizza, like Berlin, like Paris, like Vienna, like Rome, become a European city.
But nowadays I am one of the few to think this is the right way.
