Das Helmknabenkraut (Orchis militaris) gilt als eine der häufigeren Orchideen in Deutschland. Leider trifft das nicht für mein näheres Umfeld in der Hersbrucker Schweiz zu, da sind Orchideen wie Frauenschuh oder Rotes Waldvögelein besonders häufig vertreten. Um Helmknabenkrautbestände wie hier zu sehen, muss ich ein eine ziemliche Strecke fahren.

Nur die Angeschnittene vorn, die ja auch etwas unscharf ist, stört etwas das Bild.

And look at this sensation: 1 specimen found in Copenhagen. In the 80'es a few were seen on a lime-cliff at Mariager Fjord (but suspected to be out-planted by humans), but other than that it has not been thought to be part of danish flora.
It was found on 24/5, and since it grew just beside a footpath on a so-called common (a place where everybody in the old days had the right to raise livestock, and still today with public access) the authorities decided to make a public announcement of the location, with shielding thorne bushes laid around as protection. It was "released" on 27/5, and already on 30/5 it was reported broken. Bad weather, but more likely, insensitive photographers were blamed for the damage.
