What can I say? That kind of bell tower is typical of the Baroque. It can be found everywhere, but it is especially prevalent in Austria and the surrounding area.
I hope that what I wrote was not already implicit ...

An sich eine gute Idee, denn das wäre Kärnten - da leben ja meine Eltern. Ich schicke Euch aber wieder auf die Reise mit dem Hinweis, dass das ein Morgenbild (06:16 MEZ) aus Österreich ist. In welche Himmelsrichtung blicke ich daher ??

Austria and Bavaria as location is not very implicit, thank you! I just added in German that this is a morning picture, this should give you the orientation. And in addition ... this is not a wide angle shot ...

Die Kirche links ist wohl die Wallfahrtskirche Frauenberg in Seggauberg oberhalb von Leibnitz (Südsteiermark)? Aufgenommen vom Koglbauer? Oder aus etwas weiterer Entfernung? irgendwo auf Kitzeck?

Es freut mich einmal einen Rätsel-Gewinner aus der fotographisch passiveren pp-Community angezogen zu haben. Ganz recht, es ist Frauenberg, ich stehe auf der Kreuzkogelwarte am Kogelberg und schaue über das Tal der Sulm (mit der dröhnenden Bundesstraße) nach Richtung Süden. Ich bin an diesen Tagen 1-2 Stunden in der Früh auf der Warte gewesen, faszinierend wie der Nebel da auf und ab wabbert.

Technisches:
HF RAWs, 200 mm mit Crop (d.h. rund 300 mm) am Stativ (senkrecht = NPA montiert ...). 06:16 MEZ, f/11, 1/30-1/60, ISO 100.
RawTherapee, Hugin, Gimp.

Die Ausarbeitung ist noch nicht so wie ich es wirklich wollte, das Rätsel war mir aber doch zu verlockend ;-)

Das Panorama, lieber Christoph, hat mich heute - pardon gestern - morgen schon beeindruckt, die Stimmung ist einfach genial! Recherchiert habe ich kurz in der Südsteiermark ... weil Du da von diversen Weinbergen / -gütern schon "footsteps" hinterlassen hast und die ja auch hier in der Ferne durchaus sichtbar sind ...

Freue mich auch über die Resonanz von "passiven Mitgliedern" auf unserer Seite - Glückwunsch Jan!

Na ja, war nicht so schwierig für mich, ich kenne mich 'dort unten' ziemlich gut aus (Kreuzkogel hätte ich auch wissen müssen, auch von der Perspektive/Orientierung her; aber die Weinbauschule Silberberg hat doch noch nicht offen so früh morgens? ;) ). (Switching to English for the sake of the non-German-speaking visitors:) I am in fact one of those many 'silent 'Betrachter'' (I have been for many years now, not only on pp but also on ap, and often quite intensively, a few times per day). In general I do not want to intermix in the discussions (even though I often do have opinions; but if you don't contribute 'stuff' yourself, you shouldn't comment on others'). In fact, until yesterday I didn't even have an account on pp (or ap). But, after first seeing this pano yesterday morning (which actually gives an excellent impression of the very characteristic landscape in the 'wine triangle' Leibnitz-Spielfeld-Arnfels (the 'Südsteirische Weinstrasse' + extensions)) and knowing more or less immediately where it is, and since even after many hours nobody else seemed to have the faintest idea of the location, I couldn't resist the temptation to say something ...

But I will now shut up again, until the day I do find the time to make and post good quality panos myself -- maybe except for one or another riddle I cannot resist to help solve, if nobody else does. I really hope you active guys do not get discouraged by the discrepancy between the numbers of Betrachter and the numbers of Bewertungen (cf. the discussion regarding #16339) -- there are no doubt numerous passive Betrachter like me, who just want to lean back from work in their stuffy rooms and breathe 'the fresh air of the alps/the world' from time to time. I, for one, really enjoy the panos here and on ap (and mp and ...) -- even the moderate ones, but even more so the excellent ones of course. I would say: be glad there are so many silent Betrachter -- it means you are being appreciated. (And beware if their numbers would start dropping.)

Thank you Jan, because allow me to take up the subject. I would do the following considerations:
1) I think that the level of quality and information of many panos is very high. And that would be useful to try to increase the numbers of viewers and publishers.
2) I think that the number of "viewed" does not correspond to the real one. I do not know because this happens, perhaps due to an error in the count.
3) I think it would be useful, for those who can, use the English language. I would suggest a compromise: you may enter a summary in English and then start using the language that you prefer.
4) This seem like a self-managed site, meaning that does not involve any administrator or moderator. It evidently does work fine and there is no need for moderator. But it would take an administrator who cared to spread the site.

Ob die Ausarbeitung perfekt ist oder nicht, kann ich nicht beurteilen und ist mir auch nicht wichtig. Die Szenerie ist wunderbar. Besonders die Spitzen, die nur knapp über dem herrlich wallenden Nebel zu sehen sind, begeistern mich.

Wenn ich es früher gesehen hätte, hätte ich es sicher auch gewusst. War in Leibnitz beim Bundesheer eingerückt...
