When you rise early to observe a awaking day, you usually do not only portrait the object of your "begierde" (e.g. a mountain range or as here a concrete range) before sunrise when your eye proves to be a miracle - accomodating to even very dim light but you usually wait until the sun is rising to confirm the existence of this other miracle.
Here I did not know until I truly saw the sun coming where it will rise, it was a nice surprise, that it appeared just left of the skyscraper jungle. Later on I learned, that San Diego sunrises are well known and often captured - usually better than here; the sky above downtown was occupied by a boring cloud. For further details on the skyscrapers be so kind and visit my daytime pictures taken from nearby (14952). Technical stuff: Canon 550D, Sigma 17-70, Stativ, NPA, 06:24 local time. 5 HF RAWs with 34 mm, f/13, 1/30-1/100 at ISO 100. Crop to approx. 1/3 of vertical picture height. DPP (picture style neutral, 0.5 stops underexposure), Hugin, Gimp (crop, skaling, sharpening, no alteration of the Tonwertkurve).

i see that you substituted the cactus with harder concrete, this time.
