One of the characteristics of Lyon are the painted walls. There are more than 150 giant murals on walls all over Lyon depicting historical events or famous people or simply creating a trompe l'oeil effect. The best famous is La fresque des Lyonnais (The Fresco of the Lyonnais). It is a massive mural, an entire building painted with a fresco, and it's located close to the banks of the river Saône. It represents 24 historical figures of Lyon and 6 contemporary characters.
In this pano we see only the ground floor of the building.

"Le pot" hat hier eine sehr lokale Sinne. Es deutet eine kleine, unverkorkte Flasche aus einem dicken Glas. Eine Flasche fasst genau 46 cl Wein.
In einem Restaurant von Lyon ist es sehr often möglich un pot de beaujolais (oder von Côte du Rhône) zu bestellen.
