One of the characteristics of Lyon are the painted walls. There are more than 150 giant murals on walls all over Lyon depicting historical events or famous people or simply creating a trompe l'oeil effect. The best famous is La fresque des Lyonnais (The Fresco of the Lyonnais). It is a massive mural, an entire building painted with a fresco, and it's located close to the banks of the river Saône. It represents 24 historical figures of Lyon and 6 contemporary characters.
In this pano we see only the ground floor of the building.

fascinating and a bit confusing at the same time! Cheers, Augustin

What an awful weather we had last week! At least it was a gurantee to get such shots without anyone running into the frames ....

Bad wheather in the Saône-Valley. The best motif you could find in this grey scenery. The sharpness convinces me espacially.
