This year, we hardly have snow at 2000 m.
Last January things were completely different. Here I was going home by skis after work, by means of a 31 km traversal of the mountain. I carried the skis from 480 to 580 metres, used them from 580 up to 2347 and then down to 825, just to carry them again finally down to 430.
Yes, there was a night curfew at the time, and we were supposed to be at home for 22.00. With such a long tour, I arrived only 15 min in advance: however, coming at night from the mountain through hidden roads, I doubt that the police would have caught me even had I been 15 min late.
