Gebiet: Morocco      Datum: 30-12-2010
The Tarkeddid Plateau (also know as Tessaout Sources Plateau) was introduced in several previous panoramas, the main source of topographical insight being N.9534. Here I am leaving it, in order to follow the incredible path that, not far from here, begins to head down in direction Amezri. The path remains high over the Tessaout gorge, whose very beginning can be guessed at the right end of the image.
Maybe that this scenery does not correspond to the idea that one commonly has of Morocco.
Five jpeg shots with Canon G9.

Snow? This is not exactly the first expectation on the Atlas mountains but not unusual for winter days in this region. Great impression.
Kind regards, Matthias.

Given that some tour operators advertise winter climbing and ski touring in the Moroccan Atlas, it is actually little snow. Apart from that, great scene out of the endless reservoir of landscapes on your hard disk. Cheers, Martin

Martin: the problem is that organized tours consider only the Toubkal massif, where the best ski destination is nothing more than Tizi Likemt www.panoramio.com/photo/70670975
Should they discover the wide spaces of the M-Goun, or the descent from Jebel Ayachi which you can easily guess in www.panoramio.com/photo/88438747 ... well, this would sit at another order of magnitude!
Cheers, Alberto.
