Pueblo Sajama is a blessed spot between high volcanoes. On one side, we have "Los Payachatas", which means "the twins", namely Parinacota and Pomerape, lying on the Chilean border. Opposite to them stands out Sajama, the highest mountain of Bolivia. Hence, who does not like the panorama may try this photo: http://picasaweb.google.com/albertopedrotti/Bolivia#5376806096132431586

What level of humidity did you have during this day? The sky is very very clear and the blue is impressive, not alone from the height above sealevel.

We did not see a single cloud during three weeks in Bolivia.
This is the advantage of going there during the (local) winter season.
On the other hand, you may have to cope with very fierce and cold winds;
an idea might be conveyed by this picture:

The terribly dry air is also a constant threat for the throat: for example, one night I woke up at 3 am to attempt a solo ascent of Sajama, but I had to revert to base camp after three hours, due to a severe sore throat. I needed to take some medicine to recover and perform the ascent with the group the following day.
