Early autumn in Minnesota! The Ford Bridge, crossing the Mississippi River, connects Minneapolis and St Paul. The dam originally supplied power to a Ford automobile plant (you can see the Ford sign at the extreme right of the picture.) The lock at the left of the picture allows barge and boat traffic to reach the upper portions of the Mississippi River. A small portion of the Lake Street Bridge can be seen in the background.
