Nach längerer Fahrt ins Landesinnere folgt auf den Blick aufs Meer ein Gebirgssee. Natürlich musste ich auf meiner Rundreise auch ins auf über 2500m aufragende Durmitor Gebirge, das hier schon vielfach gezeigt wurde. Das Wetter war zunächst durchwachsen. Von der ersten, landschaftlich wunderschönen Wanderung durch ein Gebirgstal fast bis auf den Gipfel der Planinica (Schneefelder zwangen mich zur Umkehr) dienen die Panos wegen tief hängender Wolken eher als persönliche Erinnerung. Den nächsten Tag begann ich mit einer frühen Runde um den Crno Jezero, eines der beliebtesten Ziele der Gegend. Alle Nationaliäten sind vertreten, am meisten überraschte mich eine Busladung Israelis. Die beste Aussicht hat man gleich am Anfang der Runde beim Restaurant am Ende der Straße, danach ist man immer im oder am Wald.

After a long drive inland, the view of the sea gives way to a mountain lake. Naturally, on my round trip I also had to visit the Durmitor Mountains, which rise to over 2,500 metres and have been shown here already several times. The weather was a bit mixed at first. From the first hike – through a mountain valley of stunning beauty, almost all the way to the summit of Planinica (snowfields forced me to turn back) – the panoramic photos serve more as a personal memory because of the low-hanging clouds. I started the next day with an early walk around Crno Jezero, one of the most popular destinations in the area. People of all nationalities are represented; I was most surprised to see a coachload of Israelis. The best view is right at the start of the walk, by the restaurant at the end of the road; after that, you’re always in or near the forest.
