Fontia is an ancient village, in the municipality of Carrara, which is 7 km, located on one of the first hills of Carrara, even geographically separate from the foothills of the Apuan Alps.
Allows an exceptional view of the northern Tuscan coast, of Lunigiana and eastern Liguria mountains.

Lavoro considerato (ma questo dettaglio non fa ormai piú notizia, se mai ne ha fatta) fra metà e un terzo del suo reale valore e interesse.
Il paesino medievale sulla collina in basso a destra dovrebbe essere Ortonovo.
Dalla mia nuova carta della Apuane, invece, apprendo che da Fontia - La Foce c'è una sterrata di crinale che porta a Catelpoggio. Questa entra senza esitazione nella lista delle cose da fare!

Most I like the end of the pano with the contrasting mountains in the last evening light. But of course the lighted cities and the ocean are not less interesting and very beautiful.
