Just shortly before Christ King Antiochus I of Kommagene had the glorious idea of putting a burial hill, a huge statue of himself and some popular gods on top of the highest mountain in his kingdom. Obviously he wanted his fame to be preserved for eternity. But he didn't count on the earthquakes in this region, which threw off the heads, and the place was forgotten. Only in the 19th century German archeologists rediscovered the place. Nowadays it is Unesco World Heritage and a lovely spot for scenic sunrises and sunsets.

Ich kann mir vorstellen, dass Dir die Wahl des Aufnahmestandortes hier nicht einfach gefallen ist. Du musstest Dich zwischen dem kompletten Nemrut Dagi und den Detailreichtum der Köpfe entscheiden.
