Cockle Bay - Darling Harbour is perhaps the most lovely site in Sydney. From its original harbour vocation it has been transformed into a huge recreational and shopping area. Pyrmont Bridge (which I used as a tripod, as one clearly sees) can be crossed only by foot or by a suspended Monorail. Is was the world's turning bridge moved by electrical power.
The W side of the bay hosts the Harbourside Shopping Centre. South there is the Imax Theatre, claiming to have the world's biggest screen. On the E side, hort outside the left margin of the image, lies the Sydney Aquarium. The E side also hosts an incredible sequel of delicious panoramic restaurants. Walking among them I found (see the following excerpt of poetry:

...a sea that harbours anger in a pounding mid-year storm
Yet a sea that offers comfort when the weather's clear and warm,
Where the whitecaps crown an ocean that is every shade of blue
Crashing to a golden shore, that's Australia through and through.
(Murray Hartin, 1997)
