Das Wetter letztes Wochenende zwang mich zur Umplanung und führte mich auf einen Kurzurlaub ins Elsass und in die Vogesen, wo das Wochenende dann sogar weitgehend trocken und teils sonnig war. Da hier auf PP alle Fernsichten schon bei viel besseren Bedingungen von kompetenteren Kollegen eingefangen sind, war ich ganz entspannt unterwegs und konnte einfach die Landschaft mit ihren leuchtenden Wäldern und überraschend steilen Felswänden genießen. Vom Col de la Schlucht bis hierher hatte ich am gestrigen Sonntagmorgen den Grat für mich, danach wurde es etwas belebter und leider auch trüber. So traue ich mich dann auch, ergänzend zu Jörgs #29842 eine Variante mit anderer Brennweite und anderer Jahreszeit zu zeigen, auch wenn das von Peakfinder beworbene Matterhorn nicht drauf ist. Erst am Nachnittag waren die Alpen schemenhaft zu erkennen.

The weather last weekend forced me to change my plans and led me on a short break to Alsace and the Vosges, where the weekend turned out to be largely dry and partly sunny. As all the panoramic views here on PP have already been captured by more capable colleagues in far better conditions, I was able to take it easy and simply enjoy the landscape with its vibrant forests and surprisingly steep rock faces. From the Col de la Schlucht up to this point, I had the ridge to myself on Sunday morning; after that, it got a bit busier. So I’ve taken the liberty of adding a variant to Jörg’s #29842, using a different focal length and taken at a different time of year, even though the Matterhorn – which Peakfinder promotes – isn’t in the shot. It wasn’t until the afternoon that the Alps became faintly visible.
