Den Ausflug zum Bosporus hatte ich schon im Eingangsrätsel dieser Serie zum Thema. Ohne klaren Plan nahm ich diesen am Sonntag morgen nach dem Frühstück im Café (Istanbul hat eine ausgeprägte Frühstückskultur, und mein sehr nettes Hotel bot nichts an) von Eminönü aus in Angriff. Es gibt zwar touristische Rundfahrten, aber man kann für sehr kleines Geld auch einfach die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel nehmen - Linienschiffe fahren etwa stündlich auf beiden Ufern entlang. Die häufigen Stopps bieten Gelegenheit für ein stationäres Pano von Ende des Schiffs. Hier sind wir in Besiktas, bekannt durch seinen Fußballverein - tatsächlich steht das Stadion eingezwängt in ein Tälchen direkt am Bosporus, ist aber von hier nicht zu sehen und wäre abseits des rechten Bildrands. Ansonsten breitet sich die Stadt auf beiden Kontinenten bis ans Ufer aus; viele der ganz alten Häuser existieren leider nicht mehr.

I already mentioned the trip to the Bosphorus in the introductory riddle to this series. Without a clear plan, I set off from Eminönü on Sunday morning after breakfast in a café (Istanbul has a distinctive breakfast culture, and my very nice hotel didn't offer anything). There are tourist cruises, but you can also simply take public transport for a very small price – regular boats run along both banks about every hour. The frequent stops offer an opportunity for a stationary panorama from the end of the ship. Here we are in Besiktas, famous for its football club – in fact, the stadium is squeezed into a small valley right on the Bosphorus, but it cannot be seen from here and would be off the right edge of the picture. Otherwise, the city spreads out on both continents to the shore; unfortunately, many of the very old houses no longer exist.
