Reloaded with less blue...March 31st 2013. As requested by Jörg Engelhardt here is a view from Quito, the plaza del teatro. It's very busy here in the daytime, so I got up early on Sunday morning and caught the place in it's blue mood. For a huge city the air is surprisingly clear, probably because of the altitude.
In the historical old parts of town there are no neon light signs. All the shop-signs are done in the same simple black metal lettering, a wise decision to keep the atmosphere mellow and friendly.
