Am Nachmittag des zweiten Tags auf Andros reizte mich noch der höchste Punkt der Insel, der nur wenige Meter niedriger ist als der (als Berg imposantere) Zas auf Naxos. Allerdings hatte sich dort mit dem teils schlechten Wetter und starken Nordwinden seit 6 Tagen eine hartnäckige Gipfelwolke gehalten. Bewegungsbedürftig, aber ohne große Aussichtsambitionen parkte ich das Auto am Ende des kleinen Bergdorfs Vourkoti und ging erst auf schönem Weg zwischen Mauern los, um auf den Fahrweg am Kamm durch Wind und Nebel weiterzugehen. Bei Ankunft ganz oben passierte dann ein Wunder: Der Himmel riss zum ersten Mal seit Tagen auf, und nach weiteren 15 Minuten konnte ich schon dieses 360er aufnehmen. Beim gut gelaunten Abstieg sollte dann noch eine weitere Überraschung warten.

In the afternoon of the second day on Andros, I was tempted by the highest point of the island, which is only a few metres lower than Zas on Naxos (which is more impressive as a mountain). However, with the partly bad weather and strong northerly winds, a stubborn summit cloud had lingered there for 6 days. In need of exercise, but without much ambition for a view, I parked the car at the end of the small mountain village of Vourkoti and first set off on a nice path between walls to continue on the dirt track along the ridge through wind and fog. On arrival at the top, a miracle happened: the sky cleared for the first time in days, and after another 15 minutes I could already take this 360. On the cheerful descent, another surprise was waiting.
