Laugarvatn is a small lake with a small settlement of the same name. It has a wellness-center thanks to the hot springs nearby. We only made a short stop, so there wasn't much thought to find an optimal viewpoint. Over the lake an incredible amount of mosquitos flew around; so many that it actually affects the sharpness, but luckily only visible in 100%. I still like the far view to Hekla, so it gets included here in my portfolio.

Pano made from 8 pics (RAW), 50 mm, iso-100, f/8, 1/500 sec, developed in DPP (daylight, neutral, moderate sharpness), stitched in PTGui pro, contrast, scale, and sharpness, in Irfanview.

No curfew needed here ... what I see is a fascinating loneliness - backstage then later ;-)) ?? I also remember the mosquitos, especially at Myvatn.

Cheers, Hans-Jörg

Lovely place. There are some vertical stripes/transitions irritating me at the first sight.

@Jörg:
Overall, the stripes correspond with mirroring dark and bright clouds. There are however also to the right a few appearent jumps in the wave-patterns. These are however present on the single frames, of which I have uploaded 2 on my test-site, #10164.

Edit: I have marked some on my test site, just to be sure we speak of the same. LG Jan.

On a further sight irritations by reflections don't bother me anymore. A peaceful atmosphere.
