Unfortunately, there aren't that many viewpoints over the Isefjord. This is one of the few on the western side of the fjord. One can see the the peninsulas of Halsnæs and Hornsherred, and some hills in northeastern Sjælland, and the island of Orø.

The location is well suited for the low winterlight; on this day and location the was setting at 16:12, with the sun being 5° above the horizon at this time.

Pano made from 20 pics (RAW), Canon 6D, 70-200mm@98mm, iso-160, f/7,1, 1/320 sec, developed in DPP (daylight, neutral, moderate sharpness, periphal illumination), stitched in PTGui pro, contrast, downscaling and sharpening in Irfanview.

I agree, light and clarity are wonderful. A well chosen viewpoint. Thanks for publishing.

A wide view that also widens my notion of a fjord which is wrongly pre-occupied by something Norwegian with steep mountains on both sides. Cheers, Martin

Winterfarben vom Feinsten, auf die wir diese Saison ohne die Sonne wohl vergebens warten.

Ich schließe mich den Kommentaren an, eine sehr feine Aufnahme!

@Steffen: The exact location: 55.835103, 11.719786

@Martin: Yes, fjords are plentiful, even in Germany. The endings -furt and -förde means fjord, which etymological means fairway/Fahrrinne = good place to travel. Even wider back same word as latin Portus.

LG Jan.
