"Il Pian Perduto" can be translated with "The Lost Plan". It is part of the so-called Piani di Castelluccio and is one of the naturalistic places that I prefer.
The one labelled with "Faglia del Cordone del Vettore" is a fracture line of the mountain (Monte Vettore), caused by earthquakes.

You would like this place a lot. I do not know if you've ever heard of the "Fioritura di Castelluccio". It's a wonderful show.

It is not easy to photograph the flowering of Castelluccio if you do not live nearby, because it is not possible to know precisely the period of the flower. Sometimes the flowering takes place in mid-June, sometimes at the end of June, sometimes at the beginning of July. It is therefore not possible to plan the trip. This year I went there at the end of July, because I could not do otherwise. At the end of July it is impossible to see the bloom in its splendor. The only color that was there, apart from the green of the grass, was the blue of the cornflowers and some rare red poppies. But it was very beautiful anyway. I'm not good at taking pictures of flowers, but I'll try.
