The area of Crete senesi (literally Siennese clays) are in my opinion one of the most beautiful Italian landscapes. The Crete Senesi refers to an area of the Italian region of Tuscany to the south-east of Siena.

Fantastic view
Hello Giuseppe, I was there a few years ago and I can confirm this landscape is extremely impressive. Congratulations, Udo

Ciao Giuseppe! Crete senesi - I've never seen such a landscape before and I fall immediately in love by the beauty of this unique place. Your wonderful panorama show me a familiar scene in a later season and by the way a typical of the Crete Senesi - the Biancane. White hills, only a few meters high without any vegetation.
You stand nearly at the same place as I stand three month ago :-) Maybe I load up my panorama in one of the next weeks.
P.S. The location on top of the hill is the Castello Leonina Relais (http://www.castelloleonina.com)

Thank you for your comments. Udo and Werner, I am very happy that you know the Crete Senesi (photos by Werner of course I had already seen). Strangely, the Crete Senesi are almost unknown in Italy (outside of Tuscany).

@ Werner: my pano is taken from a very short distance from your (I had already noticed), but I've also taken another pano exactly from the same point of your (without knowing your).
And I have other panos of Tuscany taken randomly from the same point of your.

Giuseppe, I am sure you have to turn the pano right! Look for the trees, the house, the clowds and the pylons.

Ciao Jörg. I'm not sure I understand what you mean, but the pano is correct. Try to see on Google Earth. And I suggest you to visit the Crete Senesi, because they are a unique scenery.
