Cerro Chirripo is the highest mountain of Costa Rica. You can actually see a lot of this small country from up there, when it is clear. And you can see the Pacific Ocean and the Caribean Sea at the same time. Being higher than Austria's biggest mountains, it is surprising how easy it is to get up there. No snow, no ice, no cliffs have to be mastered. Almost until the end there is a comfortable walkway. It does get cold, even below 0 Celsius and coming from the tropical regions below it is quite refreshing. But as you can see on the right there are still shrubs and grass growing up there.
