After a short dinner i Djúpavík, we continued north. The Kambur formation kept following us, and the we got the best weather possible. I sensed the possibillity for a nice long view across Húnaflói, but for the time being settled for a nice overview. I found a nice male King Eider among the many Common Eiders fouraging here, which was a surprise for me. Unfortunately, I can't find the name for the prominent fjell at 176 degrees...

Pano made from 14 pics (RAW), 50 mm, iso-100, f/9, 1/400 sec, developed in DPP (daylight, neutral, moderate sharpness), stitched in PTGui pro, scaling and sharpening in Irfanview.

That's why I love Iceland. The prominent fjell above Djúpavik is named Háafell and has an elevation of 791 m metres, 7 km from your viewpoint. Kind regards Peter

Looks like great luck with the weather. Also interesting to see the road conditions. Cheers, Martin

Beautiful colours! If you hadn't written it, I would have taken it for the Ligurian Sea :) I'm happy for you after so much grey.
