SOLVED RIDDLE.
The Semnoz or Montagne du Semnoz is a mid-altitude mountain (1.702 meters) 16 kilometers long, in Haute-Savoie, at the northern end of the Bauges massif, between Annecy in the north and Allèves (cluse de Bange) to the south.
Roman cartographers named the mountain "Salmon" because of its shape, which reminded them of that of this fish.
