SOLVED RIDDLE.
The Val di Chiana (Chiana Valley) is an alluvial valley of central Italy, lying on the territories of the provinces of Arezzo and Siena in Tuscany and the provinces of Perugia and Terni in Umbria.

Does it remind me of pics you shared from Piemonte? - I really don't know

I agree, the landscape may recall some hilly areas of Piedmont, but olive trees are not frequent in Piedmont.

Is there a visible strip of a lake in the distance ?
eventually one of the lakes between Latium and Umbria or Northwest of Rome ?

It is a good tip, but on the position I say nothing. A lake is seen (and maybe more than one).

There is already a view of this valley, although from another position and not taken by me.
Tomorrow evening I will give the solution.

Maybe this "lake" is actually a river "dammed" (Fiume Tevere with Valtiberina).
Have you eventually taken the pictures around this location ? Undecided yet, if true, whether we are looking East or West and what the name of the village is.

No that's a small lake. Nearby there is another small lake and then a large lake. They are not seen in the pano, but with perfect visibility, perhaps they could be seen. The area is not what you say, but it is not very far.

Last try - Lago Lungo (not seen) with Lago di Ripasottile ? But neither of them are big.

I thank you for your persistence, but it's not there. it is on the route between Milan and Rome, exiting the highway and Werner Schelberger would easily recognize.

so the big lake we do not see is Lago Trasimeno ?

Ja. And what's the place?

Near Chianciano Terme ?

I was once in Montepulciano coming from Cortona - but my memory of this trip is very weak - non photographic times

So I was not in the wrong point when searching yesterday, but apparently I was unable to match the details. Very nice area. Cheers, Martin
