Maybe you weren't expecting a similar panorama in southern Italy at the beginning of September.
The Matese lake is a natural karst lake located in the Matese massif, in Campania. It has no tributaries, but is filled with waters coming from the melting of the snows of Monte Miletto and Gallinola and from some perennial springs.

In my opinion, the photographed area is very interesting from a naturalistic point of view and I liked it a lot for its originality. Such landscapes are not common in the Apennines.
