Location: Seljalandsfoss (30 m)      by: Jan Lindgaard Rasmussen
Area: Iceland      Date: 2018-07-26, 10:16
The overall similarity with the nearby Skógafoss is obvious. The most striking feature here is that one can walk in behind the waterfall. With a crowd like that day, it was a bit like a pilgrimage; everybody slow in from the right, and out to the left :-)

Pano made from 18 HF pics (RAW), 50 mm, iso-320, f/6,3, 1/320 sec, developed in DPP (daylight, neutral, moderate sharpness), stitched in PTGui pro, scaling and sharpening in Irfanview.

The white-red hats invite to a "Halmaspiel" for tourists ... but no: all are running to Seljalandsfoss. Maybe that's why you arranged your panorama in this way, Jan ;-) ... !?!

Hans-Jörg, actually it was an early decision during the tour. I was a bit dissapointed about the "kulisse" for many of the icelandic hot-spots, but with a small population, and an exploding numbers of tourists, that was perhaps predictable. I had no intension to de-value the locations, but when the weather or the crowds did not allow a "pure" and "spiritual" gestalt, I simply tried to make an all-inclusive solution.

Nice composition. Tourist activities are concentrated on the left half of the image. The pylons are eye-catchers.

Good friends are currently in the area (contributing to the pilgrimage), so I have the pleasure of seeing this foss twice in your panorama and their online report. Cheers, Martin
