Natürlich sind die Panoramen vom Sirente nicht vollständig ohne einen Blick von oben. Auf gutem, wegen Geröll stellenweise etwas mühsamem Weg geht es vom Standort von #29793 durch das Valle Lupara steil hinauf auf den Grat - aber nicht vergleichbar mit dem hier sichtbaren Schutt des Valle Inserrata. Oben angekommen weitet sich der Blick und man steht auf der von Südwesten flach und gleichmäßig ansteigenden Karstfläche. Zum Gipfel ist es nun nicht mehr weit. Wie mehrmals in diesen Wochen sammelten sich ein paar Wölkchen genau in der Mittagsstunde während der Gipfelrast. Von den verschiedenen hier oben entstandenen Serien habe ich zuerst eine etwas abseits des Gipfelkreuzes und des dort vorzufindenden hässlichen Mobiliars ausgearbeitet. Im Süden sieht man gut die Ebene von Fucino; hier war bis zur Trockenlegung in den 1870er Jahren der drittgrößte Binnensee Italiens.

Of course, the panoramas of the Sirente are not complete without a view from the top. From the location of #29793, the path climbs steeply up to the ridge through the Valle Lupara - but not comparable to the rubble of the Valle Inserrata visible here. At the ridge, the view widens and one stands on the flat and evenly rising karst surface from the southwest. It is now not far to the summit. As several times during these weeks, a few clouds gathered exactly at midday during the break at the summit. To the south, you can clearly see the Fucino plain; until it was drained in the 1870s, this was Italy's third largest inland lake.
