I have meant to go visit Pinery Provincial Park for several years, but always found "more important" destinations or things to do. Pandemic related restrictions this year meant I finally made it to Pinery Provincial Park on Ontario's West Coast / Lake Huron.
Because on can rarely see "the other side" (here it would be Michigan, US) on the grate lakes, I rarely find it interesting to show much of the lakes in my Panos. At Pinery it is the Sandy Dunes and Pines that make the unique charm of the location.
The dunes are protected and visitors are required to walk on the designated trails or boardwalks. The actual Beach, not shown here, is more gravel than sandy and doesn't offer any natural shade.
Perfect for a late September afternoon visit then when the sun was still warm but not too burning bright.
