Wilsum is a town on the river IJssel and belongs to the municipality of Kampen. Wilsum has 880 inhabitants and is built on a river dune. The place is mentioned for the first time in 1213. In 2019, the Netherlands had too little water, at the beginning of 2020 there will be too much water again. Most of the water in the IJssel comes from the rivers Rhine and Maas. The origin of the Rhine lies in the Swiss Alps. The Rhine enters the Netherlands via Switzerland, France and Germany, where it branches off into, among others, the IJssel. The Meuse enters our country through France and Belgium. Both rivers drain rain and melt water. On the right you can just see the church (around 1050) in Wilsum.

I like your panos much better when you get out in the landscape. BR Jan.

Very well prepared pano, and interesting as always - the connection of Rhine and Ijssel was new to me. Cheers, Martin

Hello Arjan. I think that wider landscapes are more interesting than the panos you have made from more confined spaces. This is of course a purely personal point of view, and should not be regarded as a dogma. You should of course make the panos you feel the most like doing. BR Jan.
