On this part of our journey along the Wild Atlantic Way, we made a stopover in the small town of Mallaranny (Irish: An Mhala Raithní), which means "the hill-brow of the ferns". The city is located on the isthmus between the An Corrán Peninsula and the Irish mainland, which separates Clew Bay from Blacksod Bay.
Mallaranny has a number of spectacular coves with beautiful sand and stunning views across Clew Bay towards Clare Island. One of them is Mulranny Beach, which is separated from the salt marshes behind with huge round stones.

@Giuseppe / Jörg, maybe it's hard to believe, but I don't know, who is the lonely gentleman. He stood at the same place for a long time, so I decided not to wait any longer and edit the area afterwards with Photoshop. But after developing and stitching the pictures I really liked the situation.
Herzliche Grüße
Hans-Jörg
